We added the words mom and dad to our Word Wall this week. Our sight words so far are Up, it, I, A, go, at, to, am, me, see, can, is, like, the, red, blue, yellow, green, and orange, brown.
We made it through the boiling water situation with ease thanks to many donations and lots of patience. Another first in our lengthy teaching careers. Thank you to those of you who donated water!

We finished our unit on describing matter by discussing how we could describe texture of 2D and 3D objects.

We learned that temperature is another way to describe matter. We experimented with thermometers.
Spanish – Stanfield

We read a book and talked about El Dia de los Muertos. We then decorated a calavera.
Friday, November 9th is Geography Day. There will be opportunities for parents to help with setting up and cleaning up, buying, cooking, and serving food, and various other jobs. We are in need of someone who has climbed the Mt. Everest to speak to the children and, perhaps, show equipment and photos.
