Roadrunner Rundown – Cold Front

October 13, 2018

Roadrunner Families,
As the weather begins to cool, we will be testing out the new heating capabilities of our new climate control system that was installed over the summer. Because there are likely going to be some issues with the balancing of the system, we are encouraging students to bring a jacket or sweatshirt with them to school next week, when a cold front is expected. On behalf of our Lost and Found Committee led by Leigh Ann McGehee, please make sure that all student clothing is labeled with their last name so we are able to get it back to them if it is misplaced.

Speaking of Fall, we are just a couple weeks away from our annual Fall Carnival, which will take place the night of October 26th. It will feature all the familiar favorites like the bouncy houses, the dunking booth, skaraoke, the maze and the culminating event of the night, our annual costume contest. We are also excited to announce that for this year only, our haunted house will be in the White House. It will be an exciting night and tickets and sponsorships are on sale now through our website. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the front office if you are in need of discounted tickets in order to attend and we are always looking for volunteers to assist in making the Fall Carnival as great as it can be for our Roadrunners.

Next week is Cafeteria Team Appreciation Week and Book Fair. Our cafeteria staff works really hard to bring healthy breakfast and lunch options to our Roadrunners. My current favorite menu item is the lentil frito pie, which is deeeeelicious. Please join us in showing the team how much we appreciate them this next week.

Lastly, I want to thank kindergarten parent, Tina Bui who headed up the volunteer efforts that helped make our Walk to School Day so successful. We had an outstanding turnout and really appreciate all the work that went into making it a great day.

Have a wonderful weekend,
