Poetry Month and Math Month

Happy April!

We have been having a fun time with Poetry Month.  6th grade did Book Spine Poetry, 5th wrote poems to share with the Library department’s partners: Nurses, PE, Science Resource Center, Crossing Guards, or Food Service.  3rd and 5th wrote poems from words they found in a Call Number scavenger hunt.  And everyone enjoyed Poem in Your Pocket Day!

We also recognized April as Math Month – K-2nd found fun math riddles and poems by Greg Tang.  Check out his fun website  http://gregtangmath.com/games

3rd and 4th discovered M.C. Escher and his cool use of math.  We explored tesselations on http://www.mathcats.com/explore/tessellationtown.html

We also finally recognized our Bluebonnet Challenge Readers!  Congratulations Readers!

Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and support for Librarian Appreciation Week.  I feel greatly appreciated and am happy to be in such a great place.

Due to prepping for new carpet, all library books will be due back the week of May 14th.  Please help your child find and return misplaced library books.
