100th Day of School
Friday, February 2nd will be the 100th day of school. We are asking each child to bring at least one canned food item sometime this week to donate to a food pantry. We hope to collect 100 or more cans from the combined kindergarten classes. We will continue to collect cans until February 2nd.
100th Day Trail Mix
On the 100th day of school we will be making a “100 trail mix.” The children will count out 10 of each of the following items in order to make a snack with 100 pieces. Please let your child’s teacher know if you can donate any of these snacks.
We will need them by Friday, Feb.2nd.
1 bag of pretzel sticks
1 large box of rice chex cereal
1 large box of corn chex cereal
1 large bag of plain m&ms
1 large bag of butterscotch chips
1 large box of goldfish crackers
1 large box of Cheerios
1 large bag of chocolate chips (regular-not minis)
1 large box of Teddy Grahams
1 large bag of Pirate Booty
Flat bottom coffee filters (basket style)
Valentine’s Day boxes
In a few weeks we will be sending home paper so that you can cover a shoe box for Valentine’s Day. We noticed that Michael’s craft store was selling covered boxes for about $2. I you would rather get one of those we suggest you get it quickly. They will probably sell out soon. Otherwise, be on the lookout for a shoe box to cover.
