It’s Been a Busy Week

Science – Gonzales

We learned the difference between tattling and reporting.  We report when people or animals are in danger, or when you have tried to solve the problem but it didn’t work.  Tattling is when you are trying to get someone in trouble.

Science – Manning

We learned about the “Ask for it Skill.”

Step 1- Look the person in the eye.

Step 2- Say the person’s name.

Step 3- Ask for something.

Stanfield – Spanish

We reviewed what we have been learning by playing BINGO.  We had fun and everyone was a winner!

Interns

A big thank you and good luck to our UT interns, Anne Goode, Maddy Orr  and Xiaotong Wu!  What a joy it was to have such amazing young women helping us out this semester!

Congratulations to all on a great Fun Run!

Celebrations!

We have been practicing our Celebrations program every day and are eager for our performances  Wednesday, December 13th and Thursday, December 14th. We will perform on Wednesday at 1:45, and Thursday at 6:00 pm and at 7:15 pm.  The whole school will be involved in this multicultural performance.

Students need to be in their classroom at 5:30 Thursday evening, dressed and ready to perform.  Between performances the students will stay in the classrooms and eat pizza.  You will pick your child up in their classroom after the 2nd evening performance. If your child cannot make both performances Thursday evening, please let the teachers know ahead of time.

Free tickets can be reserved on the Lee website.  Each student will be allowed 3 tickets to one of the evening performances.  The 1:45 Wednesday program is for other family members, such as grandparents, with a reception following.  Please encourage your extended family to attend the Wednesday performance.  No tickets are necessary.

Please send performance clothing on Wednesday so your child can change for the afternoon performance, and bring them in performance clothing on Thursday evening.  Performance clothes would be something nice that you would wear to a party or church.

Winter Holiday Party

Our Winter Party will be on Monday, December 18th at 9:30am.  Please be on the look out for an email from Amy Doran, kindergarten coordinator, about what we need for the party.  All parents are welcome to attend!
