September 15, 2017

Roadrunner Families,
I have been asked to share some additional information about the upcoming bond that will be voted on in November. We received the following from the district about a series of informational open houses:

When:  5:30-7:30pm
Where:  McCallum – Sept 26; Austin High – October 3; Crockett High – October 5;
additional dates are available through this link – https://www.austinisd.org/event/10-3-2017/2017-bond-open-house-austin-hs
What: Austin ISD is hosting a series of informational open houses to learn more about the 2017 Bond and how it could affect each campus.

Meetings are designed in a come-and-go format, with presentations on the bond at 5:45 p.m. and at 6:45 p.m. Open houses are designed to be geographically convenient but not geographically exclusive; all are welcome at every meeting, and information about all Austin ISD schools and facilities will be available. A district wide open house will be 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, with presentations at 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. The full schedule can be found at https://www.austinisd.org/bond/meetings

Child care, light refreshments and simultaneous Spanish presentations will take place at all meetings. For more information, please visit AISDFuture.com, email future@austinisd.org or call 512-414-9595. For campus-specific information, please visit this page and choose a school from one of the dropdown menus.

Early voting is Oct. 23–Nov. 3, and Election Day is Nov. 7.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Counselor’s Coffee on Thursday morning and all of our Roadrunners who celebrated “Dot Day” by wearing dots on Friday. We will have our first Campus Advisory Council Meeting of the year next Tuesday in the library at 3:05 pm. We will be discussing our annual Campus Improvement Plan, additional information about the bond as well as the ways that we are working to address the effects of our growing student population. CAC meetings are open to all who would like to attend.

Have a wonderful weekend,
