Next week is a busy one! On Tuesday morning we will host our Kindergarten Round-Up from 9:00 until 10:30. This is an opportunity for incoming kinder families to learn more about our school and what to expect next year when they join the Lee Family. Our current kindergartners will perform their Dinosaur Program for all of the attendees and then they will have an evening performance at 7:00. All are welcome.
Tuesday afternoon we will have our monthly CAC Meeting to review plans for the bond-funded building improvements that will take place starting in the summer of 2018. The improvements that were voted on as part of the 2013 Bond will increase the size of the front office, renovate our fantastic auditorium, and provide some much anticipated updating to our heating and cooling systems.
On Thursday afternoon we will have a team from Snooze Restaurant here to help plant vegetables in our student gardens. We would love to have as many students as possible be part of the spring planting. The fun will start at 4:00 pm and the staff from Snooze is excited for this opportunity to give back to the community. They stopped by earlier this week to drop off their donation from a highly successful #PancakeDay.
On Saturday we will have our Spring Roadie Workday to work on providing creek access near the outdoor classroom. We will also address some of the erosion issues between the library and kindergarten wing as well as other campus improvements.
Our 4th and 5th Graders did their Roadrunner Best on the first round of the STAAR test this week. The next STAAR tests for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th will be on the week of May 8th.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Russell Lee Elementary School
