Principal’s blog: February 5th

February 5, 2016

Roadrunner Families,
Thanks to your generosity through the PTA, more than a dozen staff members were able to attend the mind-blowing TCEA educational technology conference this week. The conference is held every year at the convention center and showcases cutting edge practices that allow us to bring the curriculum to life for our students. While other educators fly in from around the country for this conference, we are able to travel just a few miles to participate in this spectacular event. Thank you for your continued support of innovative professional development.

Congratulations to our 5th Graders on a wonderful African American Heritage Program yesterday. I always appreciate something new from each program and yesterday was no exception. Their closing song, Reach Out and Touch (Somebody’s Hand) was especially timely during Counselor Appreciation Week. Many thanks to Ms. Sepp for all her hard work on behalf of all our Roadrunners.

Next Tuesday we will have our monthly PTA meeting in the library. I will be sharing updated information about the name change process and the latest on how we will be soliciting name options to submit to the board.

On Saturday, February 13th we will be working to complete the chicken coop and finalize some other campus improvements. We will begin at 9:00 am and should be finished by noon. Join us if you can! Also, here is a newly created sign up for The Roadies: Sign up for information about upcoming events.

Be sure to buy your Lee Live tickets and have a wonderful weekend,
