Marathon Kids

Is a free running and nutritional program that promotes the development of a healthy lifestyle in your child!Challenges children to run/walk 26.2 miles over six months, in quarter or half mile increments.Helps your child freel a sense of accomplishment and pride by tracking progress on a mileage and food intake log, while earning rewards a long the way!Can help parents, children and families develop life long healthy habits when they participate in the program together.

Highlights IncludeFree Kick-Off Celebration on Saturday, October 3, at 9:00 am (AISD) at UT Mike Myers Stadium. Families Welcome!Children participating in the program earn a free Reward Water Bottle after running their ceremonial laps around the track. Please note: Seating will be first come, first serve open seating this year.Free Final Mile Celebration on Saturday, February 20, at 9:00 am (AISD) at Austin ISD Burger Stadium. Families Welcome!Children who participate in the program and attend this event earn a free Finisher's Medal upon completion of their ceremonial laps around the track. Seating will be first come, first serve open seating this year.Children must attend the Kick Off and Final Mile events to earn a Reward Bottle and Finisher Medal.Free Finisher Shirts are sent directly to schools for those children who complete the Marathon Kids Program!

There is no cost to students, parents, teachers or schools. Students and their parents commit to the challenge of running or walking 26.2 miles over six months during this program by completing, cutting and returning the registration form to their classroom/PE teacher.
