Committees

Bicycle/Pedestrian Safety

Work with Lee administration and parents to promote kids’ safety getting to and from school.

Book Fair
Coordinate two book sales yearly, with proceeds benefiting the Library.

Chess Club
Coordinate after-school Chess Club for Lee students on Wednesday afternoons in the Library.

Directory
Gather data each fall from Lee parents and staff, solicit advertisements, format, print, and distribute directory to all Lee students and staff free of charge.

Fundraising
Coordinate PTA fundraising efforts.

Funding Priorities
Work with principal, teachers, and parents to identify funding needs and priorities to be funded with extra PTA money, if any.

Gift Wrap
Coordinate Innisbrook gift wrap sale in September.

Grocery Cards
Coordinate sale and distribution of HEB gift cards to Lee parents and staff, earning 4% of all sales for the PTA. Work continues year-round.

Halloween Carnival
Organize carnival at Halloween, on school grounds, for all Lee families.

Hospitality
Provide food and gifts for appreciation of Lee teachers and staff throughout the year.

Landscape
Maintain and improve outside landscaping, including coordinating several workdays per year.

Lee Olympics
Assist P.E. teacher in putting on field day in the Spring, including providing refreshments for competitors.

Library
Assist librarian in coordinating library volunteers.

Partners in Education
Solicit donations of needed items from area businesses.

Playground
Work with principal to plan design and construction of new playground.

School Supplies
Purchase and deliver school supplies for beginning of the year for any families who wish to participate.

Science Fair
Coordinate Science Fair in the Spring, including recruiting judges and scheduling volunteers.

Spanish/Foreign Language
Work with principal to select Spanish teacher, coordinate all aspects of program, including fundraising.

Sunshine
Acknowledge significant events (i.e., births, deaths) among Lee teachers and staff on behalf of the PTA.

T-shirt
Order and sell to Lee families, in the fall, T-shirts with original design by Lee students.

Website
Coordinate and administer all aspects of the Lee website.

5th grade leadership
Coordinate fundraising efforts with the goal of providing leadership activities the following year, when students are in the 6th grade.
